“DREAMS DO COME TRUE”

                      DREAMS DO COME TRUE

WHAT ARE DREAMS?

SIGMUND FREUD Wrote Volumes of book to decipher dreams. He says that dreams are basically a chain reaction of all the back log stuff in our subconscious mind.
But, if I go back in time, if the mythology have to be believed Dreams were wireless connection between us and Divine power and through which the messages of God were revealed to his most loyal servants.
For homoeopathic prescription, Dreams play the crucial role. Many obstinate chronic cases are unlocked by the key of Dreams [that doesn’t mean that the homoeopathic prescription is totally based on Dreams, but Dreams weighs quiet a load in our case taking Performa]. Bulk of pages in our medicine repertoire shows the hard work of the Homoeopathic Maestro’s in collecting different kind of dreams.
Do such negligible chain reactions of our mind have any important meaning in our life? Do Dreams come true? If you have read ‘Alchemist’, you would say, definitely.
Except the literary virtual world, do dreams come true in real world?

DAYS OF CHILDHOOD

This fable of Dream started sixty years ago, when our protagonist was just eight years old. It was so happened one day, when she was returning from school she saw a half tore poster in English on the wall. It was quite different from the regular poster that she used to see. The lady in the picture and panorama behind her was surreal.
At that very instant, a thought at lightning speed strike her mind, she would definitely go to that place. She read what was written on it with her broken English. She couldn’t understand as it was a difficult vocabulary for eight years old, so she enthrals the poster from the wall and neatly folded it and kept it in the school bag’s pocket.
Since that day, every day she used to take that poster out and tried to decipher what was written on it. Time went on, now the girl was twelve year old. A new subject was introduced to them in school. It was Geography. In the mid of the session one day, abruptly she realized that, now she have skills to break the code on that tittered piece of paper that was in her possession for three years.

MY DESTINY AWAITS ME!
She went back home, even before changing her uniform and having her afternoon meals; she took out that withered piece of paper, read it and then took out her ATLAS.

“Eureka!” she shouted. She knew that she have to go to Buckingham Palace in London, England. The service of the poster was not required any more.
Years passed, it was her twentieth birthday. She still harboured that dream to go to England and after so many years, she felt her dream almost coming true, when her brother shifted her base to South Africa and finally to Canada. She traced his route in the Atlas, and felt her heart skipping beat because it was in the vicinity of her dream destination.
She was felt her heart broken when her eldest brother called their youngest sibling to Canada instead of her. Another initiating spark to her dream was when the marriage proposals for her started to stir in the family. She shyly conveyed her mother to find a NRI groom for her, who was especially settled in England.
Parents of the girl were open minded, so they considered their daughter wish. But the luck ditched her this time also. Parents waited for six years to find such a groom but failed. Indian society doesn’t allow the girl age to surpass a certain number.
Ultimately giving up to the society and family pressure, girl was married to a boy with a government job. She gave a deep sigh, accepted her destiny and entered the holy matrimony with the boy though the sparks of going abroad occasionally clink in her sub-conscious mind.
More years passed, she was blessed with a daughter and three years later with a boy. During the birth of both children she promised herself, maybe she hasn’t touched the foreign soil, but her kids would definitely one day.
The wheel of time moved further, her husband expired at a young age. Single handed she brought up her kids. She fixed the marriage of her daughter to an NRI settled in America. She was happy, may be the fleet that she dreamed for herself which she couldn’t achieve, but her daughter will.
But again, as God had his will, her daughter’s husband shifted his base to India and finally after two years in America, her daughter returned to India soil. Now her last hope was her son.

“I HAVE A DREAM”

The sixty years old lady wrote me an e-mail that started “I had a Dream, which I finally achieved.”
Along with the mail, she sends me a photograph of her, standing in front of Buckingham Palace, London, England.
It so happened, that her son who was in a Job in Mumbai, got a promotion and tranfered to England. The Duration of his stay was suppose to be long, therefore it was decided that he would go with his entire family including his wife, kid and mother.
There was though last moment delay in the VISA for the lady, but this time she was not letting it go easy. She held the fortress strongly and finally got it and landed in England and same weekend went to Buckingham Palace for a tour.
Though her joint pains have increased and her Blood Cholesterol levels are peaking to new heights because of the cold weather there, but she is still, at moment is the happiest soul of the universe.

CANCER PREVENTIVE DIET

                 CANCER PREVENTIVE DIET

The biggest troublemakers in medical world are Incurable diseases and one of the disorders that really get on nerves of the sufferer and the treating Doctor is Cancer. Why is that, the rate of cancer so increasing in today’s time? Why is that, there are no references of cancer in the Ancient times? Our scriptures are bereft of any incidences of death related to cancer. So that means they have the means by which they could prevent such incurable nuisance.

What do we actual mean by cancer?
Our whole existence is based on the procedure of cell division. One cell divides into two, two into four and so on, and various organs of the body are formed and slowly the whole being is formed. These divisions are controlled by God based timer, but when this timer blow away leading to unbridled divisions of cell it leads to an unwanted growth inside our body which we call CANCER.

Another question arises that what cause cancer?
Since, till now there is no specific aetiology to demark the reasons for cancer, but our Vedic knowledge gives us few tips to live a healthy life and prevent the life style disorders such as Diabetes mellitus 2, Hypertension {high blood pressure}, IBS {irritable bowel syndrome}, hyperuremia {high level of uric acid in blood}, high level of cholesterol and triglycerides, etc, etc. The main reason why these diseases make inroads in our system is because our so called modern diet, which cause many fold increase of production of insulin in our body. And this hyper insulin in our body is one of the predisposing causes for the cancer cell to make its niche here.

What are our best options?
So the best prevention is to lower insulin diet which is always the fibrous and vegetarian diet. The non vegetarian diet and fermented drinks like alcohol are the en route for increase insulin level in the blood. Our Vedic knowledge help us to prevent such diseases, here are our best options:

CHANDYOG UPNISHIDA

Chandyog Upanishida gives us the escape route to prevent such ungodly nuisance in our body. Fasts in Indian culture are not just only to make us accustomed to the process of renunciation but at same time work on the principle of detoxification of the body which, now-a-days are the principal bases of the treatment of Health Management Advisers. Here is it what it says:

One day fasting should be observed in a week in which the diet should be milk and fruits. This detoxifies the body.
Fast of Ekadashi should be observed twice in a month, Nirjala Ekadashi {Ekadashi in which water is prohibited to drink} which comes before Poornima {Full Moon Night} should be kept as during Poornima body have the tendency for water retention, which could be balanced by observing Nirjala Ekadashi couple of days before Poornima. Especially beneficial for people suffering from Obesity, Dysmenorrhoea {Painful menstruation}, hypothyroid, PCOD {Poly Cystic Ovarian Disease}
Eighteen days of fasting of grains to be observed in whole year, hence we have Navratra coming twice in a year. Especially for diabetic and heart patients

BHAGVAD GITA
Principles of food hygiene are explicitly elaborated in Bhagvad Gita. Since our religious scriptures say apart from human only food have consciousness {vegetarian food} which remains in it for few hours, once the process of putrification starts the consciousness leave the food and this food when taken rather than providing any advantage to our body hampers our body cells. Here is the extract and its elucidation from Bhagvad Gita, where lord himself enlighten us.

Bhagvad gita- Shloka 17.8
Food dear to those in mode of goodness increase the duration of life, purify one’s existence and give strength, health, happiness and satisfaction. Such food are juicy, fatty, wholesome {rich in fibres} and pleasing to heart.

Bhagvad gita- Shloka 17.9
Food that are too bitter, too sour, salty, hot, pungent, dry and burning are dear to those in mode of passion. Such food causes distress, misery and disease.

Bhagvad gita- Shloka 17.10
Food prepared more than three hours before being eaten, food that is tasteless, decomposed and putrid and food consisting of remnants and untouchable things is dear to those in mode of darkness.

PURPORT {by Srila Prabhupad}
The purpose of food is to increase the duration of life, purify mind and aid body strength. This is its only purpose. In past, great authorities selected those foods that best aid health and increase life duration, such as milk products, sugar, rice, wheat, fruits and vegetables. These foods are very dear to those in mode of goodness {satvik}.
Some other foods, such as baked corn and molasses, while not very pat able in them; can be made pleasant when mixed with milk or other food. All these foods are pure by nature. Fatty food as mentioned in eighth verse has no connection with animal fat obtained by animal slaughter. Animal fat is available from milk which is most wonderful of all foods.
Milk, butter, cheese and similar products give animal fat in a form which rules out any need for killing innocent creatures.
Protein is amply available through split, peas, dals, whole wheat, etc.
Food in mode of passion {rajasi} which are bitter, too salty or too hot or overly mixed with red pepper cause misery by reducing mucus in stomach, leading to disease.
Foods in mode of ignorance or darkness {tamsik} are essentially those that are not fresh. Any food cooked more than three hours before it is eaten is considered to be in mode of darkness. Because they are putrefied {like liquor}, such food give bad odour which often attract people in this mode and repulses those in mode of goodness.

THE GREEN EYE MONSTER

              THE GREEN EYE MONSTER

“We are humans!” is the excuse we give when we are caught red handed doing something wrong. We have all the vice of the world and we are the only species to have conscientiousness of virtues but still we all say we are humans. Wisdom tells “as we sow, that shall we reap” and for all the moments of our God given life we forget, the only enlightenment coming when we are in big hell of abyss or at dawn of our life. very few of us get chance to rectify, most of us again repeat same mistake again and rest of us don’t even get chance, but at the end of the day we still say “we are humans”.

THE DAYS OF TOGETHERNESS

She was a budding dietician and with grace of god her practice was good. Once upon a time she had this patient with removed gall bladder and ten kg overweight. She helped her up losing weight and after months and months of hard work finally reaped results and she lost that extra weight. Her slimmer look got her lots of compliment and finally one day she thought that if that lady can work wonders for her, she should try to learn the science herself and start with her own business of dietics. She thought it was a child play.

The lady got herself enrolled in the one of the dietics course. Entering the course she thought herself as the one with the whole knowledge and the course was just a formality, she started to consider herself as the doctor. Now the basic need was to have some tinge of acquaintance of patient dealing so she revert back to her Doctor and humbly requested to learn from her.

TRUE REVELATION

It is only when you spend time with someone that you know about his true temperament. No one can mask themselves for very long, their true colors are revealed one day and same was the case scenario with our protagonist. As she sat with her doctor learning from her, she couldn’t bear the crowd coming to her. The green eye monster of jealousy overwhelmed her consciousness and she started interrupting, correcting her mentor, proving herself more talented than her in front of her clientele.

The Doctor ignored it first but then she started to get irritated and finally one day, the Doctor made a reason that since the privacy of her patient is compromised and since few patients have objected, she couldn’t allow her anymore. The lady gave a twisted smile and without thanking her for all the knowledge bestowed by her, she walked away, confident enough that she would strike the gold.

REALITY CHECK

Within a month into the practice she realized it was not at all child’s play. There were rarely any patients marching her doors, all she had the free advice takers. She was frustrated at first and then sadness came and finally the feeling of worthlessness. She tried various ways to endorse herself, holding campaigns, designing a website, giving free advices in the kitty parties, wedding ceremony, printing advertising pamphlets and telling boisterous stories of her imaginary success.

When one of many would ever get convinced of her orchestrated words and pay her visit, she wasn’t able to deliver results. It was just all words and no show affair for her and finally one day our confident lady dropped the idea of becoming a doctor and went back to her plaintiff life style.

Jealousy paved her way straight to self worthlessness.

The other doctor, on the other hand, rose to unimaginable fame.

To be humble, is the first step to the ladder of success.
