The three forbidden doors [part – 11]

The three forbidden doors
                  [part – 11]

Man, is god’s most favorite creation, that god made him mirror image of himself. So anything that leaves the hand of god should be as pure as him, but the question arises how then man became so corrupt?
According to Christian faith, corruption paved its route long back when the first man of earth Adam committed the original sin, eating the prohibited apple from prohibited tree of prohibited garden of heaven leading to great fall. Adam’s first disobedience laid the fecund soil for tainted human minds.

THE FALL

Abstinence is the key word. God ask us to follow it, but our disobedience to his order tangled us more and more into miseries. Our hero couldn’t follow it and knocked and widely opened three forbidden doors of hell and his sufferings were inevitable.
The first stroke came as the divorce with his devoted wife along with that he lost the custody of his kids to their mother under the law.
He couldn’t get time to recover from it that second stroke of his life came when suddenly he suffered from huge business losses and he went into debts. What an irony of faith, years back he became rich overnight and years after he became penniless over a short span of time. The crowd that was gathered around him because of name, fame and wealth started to disperse and finally one day he was deserted in the whole world.
Once regarded as epitome of success and strength, succumbed to unworthy desires of his mind. Was it too much for him to bear or was it his vices that came around in front of him that his health became to deteriorate and he started to present gross symptoms which were diagnosed as Paralytic Dementia, also called as GENERAL PARALYSIS OF INSANE {GPI}.
GPI is syphilitic inflammation and generation of nerve cell and blood vessels happens after ten or twelve years after initial infection of syphilis {one of the sexually transmitted disorder}. The cerebral convolution are shrunken {especially frontal and temporal lobes whose main function is to maintain behavioral and memory faculty} and localized cortical atrophy leading impairments of mortar functions. The characteristic symptoms and signs are changes in personality, impairment of memory, delusional ideas, tremors, papillary changes, speech defect, paralysis, finally convulsions and general weakness.
Day after day his condition worsened, with no one to take proper care of and with no money for proper medical aid, his body started to degenerate.
Was it benediction of lord in the time of misery that his dementia became so bad that he couldn’t remember what he was once, what he had once and how he lost it all and hence saved him to feel horribly sorry for himself.
He was lonely and with no sane mind and at the age of 49 he found the ultimate penance in death.

KARMIC CHAKRA {THE CIRCLE OF KARMA}
According to material eyes his suffering ended with death but who knows what happen thereafter, no one have come back and shared experiences about it. But the authoritative scriptures like “SRIMAD BHAGVATAM” and “GARUR PURAN” have details of afterlife according to Hindu faith and mythology.
Heaven or hell, I don’t know, but what goes around comes back in same package, our karma’s are like a paycheck, whether or not we like it, we have to pay it back.

MORAL

There are three doors leading to hell – lust, anger and greed. Every sane man should give these up, for they lead to degeneration of soul.”  {BHAGAVAD GITA 16.21}

The three forbidden doors [ part—1 ]

 The three forbidden doors
                  [ part—1 ]

The history of the world is filled with stories of men and women of extra- ordinary strength with which they remarkably covered their path from rags to riches. Luck bestowed all her benediction on them, made their every decision a milestone to their success, but what happens when the luck suddenly takes a sharp u- turn.

DARE TO DARE
Long back ago, there was this boy born in a much expanded joint middle class family. Studied in government school and was expected by family to take government job. But this very hard working guy was a dreamer, had big expectation in his life and was unquestionably not settling for less. He was the chosen one to dare to dare at each and every step in his life. He always dreams to be on the top and he was ready to pay any price for it.
To fancy his folks he got himself the government job, but was not satisfied and strived to do something new, different, profitable, making him rich overnight, getting him much deserved name and fame. He kept searching and one day, as faith had it, he found one.
Way back in those days, when our protagonist was young, technology was not common household name. There was no luxury of computers, mobiles, lap tops or i-pads. Technology was making inroads into naïve Indian market. To make investment in it was too risky, as its faith laid on principle of uncertainty. But someone has to do it, so it happen to be our hero, who invested five years of job saving into machine used for diagnosing brain disorders. That diagnostic machine was patriarch of today’s C T scan and MRI machines. But at that time it was newbie like our, expected to do well but still under scanner of uncertainty.
His father almost died of heart attack and mother went into transient ischemic attack on hearing their son’s immature deeds. Too, much of their horror their son decided to quit his well settled government job with fixed salary and opted to be a salesman to endorse his new found technology personally to different hospitals.

FACIAL ANATOMY
Muscular face –open to new ideas, flexible and adaptable to circumstances
Dense hair growth on head – enthusiastic, zeal and risk taking, obstinate
Broad forehead – good memory
Bushy eyebrows finely shading eyes – strong executive and observation qualities
Wide space between the terminus of eyebrows and outer corner of eye- good arithmetical calculation
Big bright eyes – eloquent, linguistic skills
Good amount of muscular filling between the eyebrows – self will
Convex nose like shape of the beak of the bird – commercial nose
Tip of the nose broad and well curved at diameter –sublimity and ideality
Tip of nose pointing downward – good artistic qualities
Good upper lip length – self esteem
Well formed upper and lower lip – amative qualities
Averagely developed cheeks – lack of interest in food and drinks
Small perpendicular lines running down from nose to center of lips- average modesty
Oval chin with slight protruding – conscientiousness along with firmness
Dimpled chin – aristocratic along with secret desire to be admired
Round and small muscular ears – good hearing power, open to ideas of others

THE KISMET
As the cards of destiny unfold, our young handsome protagonist quit his job and landed on the thresh-hold of neurological department of one of the renowned hospital of that time. The father and the daughter duo, both neurosurgeons, father being head of department heard the young man patiently. Father had doubts about the both newbie {the man and the machine} but his daughter has surrendered to deadly charms, more of the man and negligible of the machine, but spoke conversely to convince her father for the machine and indirectly for the man behind it.
The timing was perfect, it was February and leap year, the arrows of cupid are infallible at that time and would never ever miss its mark. It just took couple of months, precisely twenty eight dates, one hundred twenty four roses and ultimately a golden band with a sapphire to seal the love. They got married in September that year.
The lady luck came as the bonanza to our hero. The technology became a hit overnight and with financial and experience of his wife’s father he opened a diagnostic center and he just strike gold. The obedient and much in love wife left her neuro practice and joined her husband into family business, bringing high flavored medical vocabulary to it to convince more and more people. And in no time he had the chain of diagnostic centers in hotspots cities. Our hero became a brand in himself and a household name. Two years down the line he became father to a baby boy followed by a baby girl two years later.
The life was a roller-costar ride, up and up it went. And it seemed they were destined to live happily ever after, BUT….
Why is there always the “but” after every happily after, I personally hate these buts.

 THE THREE FORBIDDEN DOORS
Success was at its feet and our hero became puffed up with power and ego. He became so bewitched that he forgot from where he started. He was on the seventh heaven and felt not less than, “Alexander the great”.
His needs became more vivid and when they couldn’t be satisfied in the domestic environment, he ventured out. His licentiousness became unbridled and he knocked the FIRST FORBIDDEN DOOR OF LUST and widely opens it.

He found himself in midst of young attractive women drooling over the power and money attached to his iconic name. Not for one second it clicked to him that there is love of her life waiting for him, the one who came when he had nothing and who sacrificed everything so that his hands become full. His late nights made his wife suspicious and created a crater of differences between them. At first he tried to conceal it with his thespian skills but truth can’t remain hidden for long. Frequent fights made him find solace in his mistress on one side and tequila in other.

As he pumped himself with the vices of the universe, his work become to suffer and he became more frustrated and at that instant he knocked the SECOND FORBIDDEN DOOR OF ANGER and opens it widely. No amount of meditation or anger management course could bridle, the once dormant anger, busted out after opening of the second forbidden door. He was bestowed with unworthy names like NAZI or HITLER by his sub- ordinates.
He lost his magic and his diabolic nature led to sabotage of his business which once he build with his own very hands. He couldn’t afford to lose it now as he became addicted to his luxurious lifestyle and started to find means to get easy money. And in behest of it tainted will he knocked the final and the THIRD FORBIDDEN DOOR OF GREED and open it widely.

These three doors were like a vicious web of the Spanish spider which you can enter but never ever could leave. One after other things lead to more sabotage and finally there is nothing left to destroy, until then the process goes on nonstop. They are not some ordinary doors but THREE FORBIDDEN DOORS TO HELL.

They say face is like a mirror, whatever spins in your mind depicts clearly on your face, and even the minutest and subtle change in your conscience and this natural law of evolution was applied to our protagonist.

FACIAL ANATOMY POST EVOLUTION
Face became dried, cheeks sucked in and maxillary {cheek bone} became prominent – dyspeptic looks
Once hairy head lost all its fine locks and appeared like grossly deforested land – zeal and ambitiousness subdued with monotonous activity
Forehead started to frown permanently with lassitude lines covering its whole breathe – paranoid, insecurities and fretting about future
Busy eyebrows and well shading supraciliry ridges persistent – leadership and executive qualities intact
Eyes became small and extended horizontally at its outer angle – wanton eyes full of lust
Fine oblique wrinkles appeared on side of nose {rarely appearing lines but when appear signifies deep meaning} – malicious and knavish hard core nature
Narrow chin – lack of conscientiousness
Shriveled lips – decrease empathy, more lust
Corners of lips irregular and pointed downwards – diabolical and selfishness
Chin pointed at the end and start to project forward remarkably – avarice

Tequila and Viagra started to show their colors on his once 6’ lithe framework. His shoulders drooped and spine started to curve at age of forty. But we can’t underestimate him that he could still conceal his diabolic, knavish and tainted self under his fine thespian skills and exhibit every wrinkle on vise on his face as the lines of wisdom and prudence gain after years and years of hard work. He still managed to be a hero, but it was very short lived.

The anecdote doesn’t end here; check out what happens to our protagonist next week in next post. It would be worst of your imaginations, I promise, so just keep guessing……….

The vampire story

        The vampire story

Everyone around the globe is smitten by the vampire stories like twilight saga, so how could I resist myself telling you one of the true vampire legends. Trust me, it’s not a fable.
A thirty seven years old, tall, fair, fat woman with thick glasses over her big bulging eyes {showing lots of sclera, eye’s white part}, came to me for the treatment of chololithiasis {stone in gall- bladder}. She had conceived three stones of remarkable size in her gall- bladder. Well I refused the treatment as it was purely surgical case, can only be treated by excision of gall- bladder {cholecystectomy}.

FORMULA- FACE VALUE
·        Gobbet face {well formed circular cheeks} – fancies fat enriched diet
·        Small forehead- weak grasping power
·        Bulging eyes – credenciveness { easily malleable into talks of other people}
·        High raised eyebrows as if dividing the small forehead equally in two parts – superstitious, credenciveness.
·        Sparse eyebrow’s hair – lack of leadership and executive traits, poor decision making power
·        Ears round, small and ear auricle bulging forward – easy believer, credenciveness
·        Length of the nose small – carelessness, lack of prudence
·        Nasal septum even with the nasal alae or nostrils, totally flat with no projection downwards – hopelessness, poor analytical mind, pathologically indicating weak liver and re-occurring bilious disorders {proved by her diagnosis of chololithiasis}
·        Receding chin – poor decision making power
·        Double chin – {like dewlap of bovine animals, example, a cow} – economical traits, believe in savings, doesn’t mean niggardliness

NOTE – Nature is very kind on humans. Since our protagonist can be easily molded into the talks of other people and lack proper decision making traits, always ending up in the dilemma, benevolent nature have compensated it by providing her with sound economical traits so that she is not plundered of her hard earned savings.
BUT, it in certain cases, it doesn’t matter, how many benedictions nature bestow over, the unstable, wavy and delinquent mind always makes its own imprudent call.

A MONTH LATER…
The lady whom I refused treatment appeared in my clinic a month later. I thought she must have gone under her surgery and was here for some cover up for post op’s trouble. But to my utter disbelief she haven’t gone under knife but have got herself treated by a new non surgical method and was here to request me to write her the ultrasonogrphy {U.S.G} report to check the status- quo of gall- bladder ultimately putting the seal of triumph to her recovery.
I had already invested lot of my time earlier to explain her that her condition can’t be treated medicinally and surgical intervention is but, necessary. And since being under Hippocratic Oath, reluctantly, explained her again the same thing.
But, my wise patient retorted my advice on me, but in highly advanced genetically mutated form {pun intended}. Here is our piece of conversation.

PT – PATIENT                                                      DOC- DOCTOR {ME}

PT – you want a surgical intervention on me, I got it done, but not the convectional way doc.
DOC – you mean by laser.
PT – no, much better, advance and safe. No pain, no scar.
{I was confused, I Google search all my grey cells for non invasive cholecystectomy. And after thirty seconds the result was – NO MATCH FOUND.}
Seeing me bewildered, my patient started with the explicit explanation for above phenomenon.
SHOCKING!             SHOCKING!          SHOCKING!

THE VAMPIRE lady OF UJJAIN
So the whole story goes like this that my patient was convinced to get her surgery done, but suddenly before the schedule date of the surgery she came to know from one of her distant acquaintance about a lady in Ujjain who treats this condition gall – bladder stones by sucking them out of the abdomen. No scar, no pain and time of procedure two minutes, more- over you can keep your gall – bladder, which otherwise would have surgically removed. So my wise patient instead of getting her surgery planned a family trip to Ujjain.
PT – so you see doc, this is how I got myself treated. She bit me on right side of my upper abdomen and viola three stones appeared in her mouth, my gall– stones.
DOC – OMG! You got yourself a vampire treatment; difference being instead of sucking blood the vampire lady sucked your gall- stones. Interesting and impressive!
PT – you don’t believe me doc, the lady have been doing this for twenty five years now. There are lots and lots of people from whole length and breath of the country, all being referred by successfully treated happy patients who were able to avoid surgery. She sees at an average hundred to hundred fifty or more patient in a day.
DOC – I appreciate, she sucks a lot! Did she charge you?
PT- minimal, just hundred bucks, totally in contrast to what I was about to shed in the surgery.
DOC – the vampire lady earns at an average ten thousand to fifteen thousand a day, well that makes her taxpaying vampire. Anyways, do you have any symptoms?
PT – none, my pain have gone and my appetite have returned.
DOC – congratulations! Why do you ask me to write you an U.S.G?
PT – just to check it out, it makes me so happy to be a p[art of miracle treatment.
DOC- don’t go for it, you have nothing to prove to no one, you have no symptoms, go and enjoy your life.
PT – why? Do you feel insecure, come on doc! It’s not on your practice. There is god and miracles do happen.
PT – {with a tight smile on my lips} well I had my own reasons to advice you against it, but since you insist, here, go for it {and I finally  wrote her the U.S.G for upper abdomen}

TWO DAYS LATER….

U.S.G Report of UPPER ABDOMEN
IMPRESSION -  three small calculi measuring 1mm, 1.5mm and 2.5mm seen in gall – bladder. CHOLOLITHIASIS. Please co- relate clinically.
I read the report loud. Since, the report solving the mystery of lost stones, symptoms of my patient returned in full blown form. She was bewildered, way more than she has ever been.
I explained her that of course there is god and everything happening in this universe is under his direction, but all these patterns have a deep logic behind it, which sometimes we can explain and term it science and which we sometimes can’t explain and call it miracle.
With heavy heart she said that she was conned. But still she failed to understand her disappearance of symptoms for two days. Well, I tried to explain her concept of “faith healing”.

ENDORPHINS
Her symptoms disappeared, as soon as the vampire lady showed her the stones that she apparently sucked out of her gall – bladder, which indirectly lead to the release of the month long stress that she was experiencing since being diagnosed with chololithiasis. Her brain went into relaxed mode and started to release “a feel good” chemical ENDORPHINS. The chemical have similar composition like morphine and heroin and have a tranquillizing and healing effect on body as it builds the immune system.
The vampire lady was able to generate the production of endorphins in my patient’s brain through her modus – oprendi. But my patent doubted it and went for U.S.G. well; actually this was a real reason for refusing her to go for U.S.G. When the hard core reality clashed with her faith of being cured, at same very instant the endorphins supply was cut off and her symptoms returned.
There are various ways to generate these endorphins for healing. In my patient’s case it was faith, in some cases it is laughter and surprisingly, in other cases, it have been reported, pornography have been used for pain management. At the end of the day it’s how you get pleased to get endorphins pump on.

ULTIMATELY….
Two days later, my patient schedule herself for the surgery.
On other hand, our vampire lady carried on doing the good work of “FAITH HEALING”, for chololithiasis, along with helping the government endorsing medical tourism in small city, Ujjain.

MORAL
It’s just, all one, big – big mind game, adversities; miseries; diseases all can be tamed.
